For all those who love family history research and live on Bribie Island and surrounds in Queensland
Bribie Family History Association is for people interested in genealogy and family history.
We meet at the RSL ANZAC Room on the 1st Friday of the month.
From February to December, from 9:15 am to 11:30 am.
Annual membership fee applies.
Visitors welcome, 1st visit free.
Workshops are held occasionally for specialised subjects. Details of any upcoming events are on the 'Meetings and Workshops' tab. These are usually half day or full day events which have an additional (low) charge. Members receive a discount on this charge.
Formed in February 2023 as an Incorporated Association, this small but active group supports members on Bribie Island and the surrounding districts in advancing their family history research through regular meetings, guest speakers, and periodic workshops that delve deeper into research methodology.
The December meeting is traditionally a Christmas Party with no guest speaker.
We would like all members to attend and there will be a quiz with prizes for the smartest genealogists. The quiz will be run by Sally Romano who is president of Queensland Family History and who will be a guest at our Christmas Meeting.
There is also a Secret Santa beng run on the day with each participant to bring a present of value not more than $15. All patrons who bring a present will receive a gift drawn from those supplied.
This will be followed by a pre-booked lunch in The Social restaurant a the RSL.
Please note this is nearly booked out and we can't book any more seats. If you are interested and haven't booked please contact DIane via email on bribiefha.committee1@gmail.com
