Formed in February 2023 as an Incorporated Association, this small but active group supports members on Bribie Island and the surrounding districts in advancing their family history research through regular meetings, guest speakers, and periodic workshops that delve deeper into research methodology.

Bribie Family History Association is for people interested in genealogy and family history.
We meet at the RSL ANZAC Room on the 1st Friday of the month.
From February to December, from 9:15 am to 11:30 am.
Note the 1st Friday in April 2026 is Good Friday and there is no April meeting this year,
Annual membership fee applies.
Visitors welcome, 1st visit free.
Workshops are held occasionally for specialised subjects. Details of any upcoming events are on the 'Meetings and Workshops' tab. These are usually half day or full day events which have an additional (low) charge. Members receive a discount on this charge.

Guest Speaker for Upcoming Meeting
Our next meeting will be held on Friday 3rd July at Bribie RSL Anzac Room at 9:15am.
Our guest speaker for this meeting is Sally Remano.
Sally Romano is a qualified genealogist and history advocate with a passion for helping people find joy in genealogy.
Since 2019, she has worked as a researcher and presenter for the television program Who Do You Think You Are?, helping well-known Australians uncover and share their family stories.
Sally is the author of the Share Your Life Story book series and creator of the widely followed Organise Your Genealogy Facebook community.
Through her business, Genealogy Space, she develops practical organising systems, resources and training programs that help family historians bring structure to their research and work withgreater confidence.
Sally is also the President of History Queensland.
The topic of her talk is: “Paper to Pixels".

Annual BFHA Membership is $30.00 for a single and $50.00 per couple.
